Carol Blackwood
My introduction to painting was a watercolor class in 7th grade. Watercolor has always been my favorite medium.
I dabbled in art all through college got my BA in zoology. I have continued to dabble and take classes for the last 50+ years.
I hope I have gotten better but I can’t find those original paintings so I’m not sure. I have won ribbons at the South Carolina State Fair in Columbia plus awards from shows sponsored by the art groups I belong to including Trenholm Art Guild, Crooked Creek Art League and Cayce Arts Guild.

Sozo Family Fitness
Sozo Family Fitness is proud to host a guest artist display each month in the "Sozo Family Fitness Gallery". In addition to helping Chapin get fit, Kara is an enthusiastic supporter of the arts in Chapin. We are thrilled to be working with Sozo to showcase more art in town.
The gallery is located in the front lobby at Sozo Fitness at 510 Columbia Avenue. It hosts a piece of art by one of Crooked Creek Art League's artists on a monthly rotation.
