ANNUAL CONTEST
CCAL caps off the end of the year with an annual contest which showcases the wonderful artwork of our members. Artwork is prepared by participating members (all are welcome to take part) and presented at our May end of year meeting. The best pieces are chosen by CCAL members and awarded first through third place. Each receives an award ribbon and bragging rights. All the artwork is exhibited in the TAP gallery throughout the summer. Select pieces are generally then also exhibited elsewhere in the community as opportunities arise. In addition, the artwork may be used in promotional materials, such a calendar, which is offered for sale by the league as a fund raiser. Please consider joining in the fun!
“Sights from Around the World” is the theme for our 2024 May Contest. There are so many interesting and beautiful spots all around our wonderful world. Artists have helped share those special places since art began. Whether near or far, each location tells a story. Let’s broaden our cultural outlook! It could be a scene from travels, from an International Festival, a look at an object or fashion from afar, perhaps a visit to a Mexican, Italian, Chinese or other restaurant. Color, design, and inspiration are everywhere around us. What will inspire you?
Participation is open to all Crooked Creek Art League members. Artwork must be original.
Note: Artwork entered in the Annual Contest is not restricted from also being entered into one of our two annual juried shows.
