About the Artist

Ruby DeLoach
Every canvas tells a story about a moment in the artist's life. Ruby, an artist and author, finds inspirations for her book illustrations in flowers and wildlife. She autographs her first book, Earth Turns on Its Axis, and...with, "Enjoy the beauty around you each day." As the reader turns the artful representations of morning to night, they learn about habitats, seasons and where the sun goes at night. She inscribed her second book, Growing Little Green Thumbs, a SC Book Festival Selection, advising the reader to "Take time to open books and G.R.O.W." This theme, Great Readings Open Worlds, echoes throughout all her books. Her third book is an assimilation of memories of happy moments growing up in the foothills awaking to Appalachian Mornings. It says, "Moments + Moments = Life, fill your moments with joy." She takes her own advice and "Golden Followers of Our Star" was created when when planning to Gogh to
Charlotte's Model T Ford Factory to experience the "Immersive van Gogh Exhibit." The 3-D choreography of his sunrise was a joy filled moment that lifted her heart. A fourth book, Playing In the Dirt, is in progress. Her books and art are available at Palmetto Fine Arts, 140 Amicks Ferry Road, Chapin, SC. She is a Feature Artist in the Crooked Creek Art League Art Section in August and September. Go and explore how she pushes creative boundaries and purchase a book, an art illustration page from a book, art from her Wild Things, Lucky In Love or Life on the Lake Series.
