Oct 2023 Presenter CHANGE: Mark Conrardy

Due to a personal injury Michael Story will not be able to be our presenter for the October 16, 2023 meeting. Don't worry, he's going to be just fine - just not by tomorrow night.

We are pleased to announce that we will have a wonderful substitution in store for you: Mark Conrardy.

This is our regular monthly members meeting. Hope to see you there - members and guests welcome!

Our (new) presenter for October is: Mark Conrardy.

The Title of Mark's Presentation is:

"Perspective and Grids"

Mark Conrardy’s oil paintings are unified by a cadmium red light underpainting, typically on a birch-panel substrate. Using mostly analogous colors straight from the tubes, Mark applies paint in transparent glazed layers that maintain the vibrancy of the colors underneath. Popular themes in his works include agriculture, architecture, sports, and music, many of which are captured en plein air.

Mark will do one or two demonstrations as he discusses the principles of perspective, composition and drawing. He will also discuss color…how to make your painting vibrant…focal point location on your painting.
