At the Nov 17, 2025 meeting, our presenter was Michael Krajewski. His presentation was titled:

Talking Art with Krajewski

Playing with the art of art —

because art is a journal of you.

Don’t mind me, I’m just being an artist,

lost in colors, lines, composition, and imagery.

and never be afraid to color outside the lines.

Michael shared his artistic journey, highlighting his self-taught background and his current projects. He discussed his ongoing mural at Black Rooster, which has been a long-term project spanning several years and involving both French and Italian themes. Michael described his process for creating his pieces, emphasizing his approach to experimentation and learning in his art. He expressed his passion for creating art and his belief in the importance of continuous experimentation and growth as an artist.

Michael also conducted a fun exercise where three volunteers drew blindfolded, with participants creating various landscapes and objects. The exercise aimed to help artists discover new drawing techniques and strokes by relying on spatial awareness rather than visual guidance.

We had 79 participants: 53 in-person members, 23 members by Zoom and 3 guests in attendance. Thank you to everyone for joining the fun! Door prize winners were: Sandra Oliver, Francis Davis, Cameron Ivie and Lois Thornhill.

A reminder to our members:

Each month, we hold a new themed contest in the TAP Gallery. All CCAL members are invited to participate. Simply create your best piece according to the theme and bring it to hang on the start date listed below. (Be sure to bring your gallery wall label.) Only original works only are permitted in judged theme contests (no prints please).

Exhibits typically change the same night as our monthly member meeting. Be sure to take home your artwork at the end of the exhibit!!

A monthly Award Winner will be selected and awarded a ribbon for themed exhibits. Happy creating! In order to give our members more time to paint ahead for the TAP Gallery Exhibits, we will be trying to keep a yearly list of upcoming themes published in advance.
