We invite you to join us at our meeting on Monday November 20, 2023 for fun and fellowship.

This is our regular monthly members meeting. Hope to see you there - members and guests welcome!

This month Rick Rhodes will present:

How to Photograph Your Artwork

Always wanted to know how to take better photos of your artwork? Here's your chance!

Photographing your artwork can seem like a simple task but can quickly become a daunting project depending on your end use needs. Professional photographer, Rick Rhodes, will give pointers for artists on the basics for photographing their artwork. Rick has owned and operated Rick Rhodes Photography & Imaging, LLC, in West Ashley for nearly 25 years and is well versed in aerial, architecture, landscape, portrait, artwork, and product photography. The presentation will cover lighting, white balance, image format, camera settings, and other aspects of how to improve your ability to photograph your artwork. Rick will also talk in detail about the digital image and what makes a quality image.

In addition, Rick will be at Crooked Creek Park early to set up to shoot photographs of YOUR flat artwork as a service to you.

The charge will be $30 per painting. Payment to Rick will be made onsite. Cash payment only will be accepted. For each painting photographed, Rick will deliver to you a 10-inch 300 dpi tiff and jpeg and a low-res jpeg for web use of each painting.

We will not know the exact time Rick will start taking photographs until we see how many people are interested in signing up. Please use the link below to request a reservation. Reservations will be made based on requests in the order they are received until all the available time slots are filled. You will be notified of your assigned time slot.
