At our May 18, 2026 meeting, we celebrated with our end of year party and Annual Members Contest.
During the business meeting, we elected our new slate of officers for the coming year. Congratulations to all the winners and a big THANK YOU for volunteering to take on a leadership role.

The league is successful due to the time and effort put in by our members to make all our great activities and opportunities happen. Their efforts make the league a fun and successful organization for us all. We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help with some of the roles and all the committees would welcome more help. Many hands make light work! If you are interested and willing to serve, please let Michael Naughton know. The best way to get benefits from the league to is participate!
For the Annual Contest, Jasmine Fleetwood came up with a fun theme for this year’s contest “Roots & Wings". Voting for the winners was no easy task! We had 28 beautiful entries with many different media and a wide variety of creative beauty. We really appreciate everyone's participation! If you have suggestions for next year's theme, please let Jasmine Fleetwood know.
As usual, we had a lot of laughter and fellowship as we all enjoyed being together and enjoying the beautiful ART. We had 66 meeting participants: 56 in-person members, 6 members by Zoom and 4 guests in attendance. The 2026 May Member’s Contest Theme was conceived and planned by Jasmine Fleetwood .
Note: Artwork entered in the Annual Contest is not restricted from also being entered into one of our two annual juried shows.

Artwork from the Annual Contest will remain on display in the TAP Gallery until we return in September. Check it out when you stop by the park.

Note: Attendance at this meeting counts toward Member in Good Standing (MIGS*) for entry into the Annual Juried Show and MIGS for entry into the Winter Still Hopes Juried Show.
*MIGS = Members in Good Standing = Members who have attended at least 3 meetings in order to be eligible for the next juried show. Eligible meetings occur in the eight meetings preceding the show. You can verify your MIGS status at: https://www.crookedcreekart.org/membership-directory (members password required to view.)
A reminder to our members:
Each month, we hold a new themed contest in the TAP Gallery. All CCAL members are invited to participate. Simply create your best piece according to the theme and bring it to hang on the start date listed below. (Be sure to bring your gallery wall label.) Only original works only are permitted in judged theme contests (no prints please).
Exhibits typically change the same night as our monthly member meeting. Be sure to take home your artwork at the end of the exhibit!!
A monthly Award Winner will be selected and awarded a ribbon for themed exhibits. Happy creating! In order to give our members more time to paint ahead for the TAP Gallery Exhibits, we will be trying to keep a yearly list of upcoming themes published in advance.
