February 2021 Presenter: Ryan Fox

We invite you to join us at our meeting on Monday Feb 15, 2021 for some fun and fellowship! This is our monthly members meeting. Hope to see you there - members and guests welcome!

Due to COVID and in light of increased safety and social distancing guidelines, we are (for now) going digital. So, we're bringing this meeting to you online - straight to your home studio or sofa, so we can stay connected during these unprecedented times.

For February our presenter will be Ryan Fox. Ryan Fox is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society as well as 6 state and regional societies: Northeast, Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and North Carolina (NEWS, GWS, IWS, PWS, MOWS, WSNC). Ryan has won awards in The American Watercolor Society (AWS), Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, Missouri Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society (GWS), and Watercolor Society of North Carolina juried shows. His work has been featured in Watercolor Artist Magazine, Art of Watercolour, and Splash 15, 16, 19 & 20 hardcover books published by F+W Media. His instructional DVDs are marketed by Creative Catalyst Productions. Ryan will be our Juror for the Annual Juried Show in March and will be leading a workshop for us on March 5 and 6. During the meeting, Ryan will demonstrate a graphic approach to watercolor using black paint, then covering it to create an atmospheric look unique to watercolor. Limited palette painting using only three colors.
