Pam Bulak Show at Rob Shaw Gallery

Painting by Pam Bulak

Congratulations to CCAL Member, Pam Bulak,

for her new month long show with Ann Anrrich!

From Pam:

Visit us for First Friday on State Street, March 6th from 6-9pm. We will be featuring the art of Ann Anrrich and Pam Bulak with an Opening Reception. Come out and meet the artists and hear about their current work. The show will hang for the month of March.

Ann grew up drawing horses on all the backs of school work, and most other blank sheets of paper. This developed into more varied subjects over the years to include works done at the University of South Carolina, particularly influenced by Boyd Saunders. While still admiring the forms and movements of horses, she has branched out, doing many portraits of people as well as their pets. Always trying to best express what she enjoys all around her through painting technique, the artist doesn't take herself too seriously; after all, it's about the pleasure of painting. Lately making new friends in the local art world, she sometimes experiments with new subjects and paint applications.

Pam Bulak painted her first watercolor in 2005 and has loved creating with paints ever since. Drawing and painting with watercolors and oils gives her time and space to take flight. She has loved learning about line, value, chroma, and technique while creating something beautiful and new. She treasures the friendships and experiences that she has enjoyed though her art. She especially enjoys the looseness of painting nature or landscapes with a palette knife in plein air and from her travel experiences.

Rob Shaw Gallery and Framing is a full service Picture Frame Shop and Art Gallery. Located at 324 State Street, West Columbia. Rob Shaw is a painter and enjoys introducing people to different styles of art. The function of the Gallery’s monthly Art Shows is to share with clients the many different types of artists we have living in South Carolina.
