We're happy to announce our first workshop for this year!
Come join us as we have fun learning to draw better with Roy Paschal’s guidance.
Roy Paschal attended the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota Florida. For over thirty years Roy was a police sketch artist traveling across the state of South Carolina drawing the images of alleged criminals. Roy was a guest instructor at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia for over 20 years where he trained future artist. Since his retirement, Roy has concentrated on his fine art and teaching. Roy has won numerous awards and is widely collected. Let’s have some fun learning to draw better. The foundation for all the representational arts is drawing. This workshop we will explore various approaches to the forms of drawing. We will begin by focusing on the development of the student’s perceptual skills. We will hone our skills by working on projects that deal with the use of line, value, composition, texture, perspective, proportion and expressive stylization. Themes and content in drawing are explored at the end of the workshop, as well as projects that work towards expanding the definition of the drawing activity. A wide variety of media can be used including graphite, charcoal, and pastel are used.
You can see more details about the workshop under Workshops on the CCAL website.
