"Avian Artistry"

Artist Statement

When I saw this weathered bird nest on the marsh in Charleston, SC, I knew I had to paint it. The colors in this setting were one of the factors that motivated me to paint this scene. As a child growing up in Charleston, I always had an interest in nature and I could just imagine what kind of bird had lived in such a beautiful setting.
