Artist Bio:

Faye Delia Meetze, a native of Lexington County S.C, resides with her husband on Lake Murray near Chapin.. Although she has received no formal art education, she has been greatly influenced by nationally known impressionist oil painter, Ilona Royce-Smithkin, pastel artist, Jason Chang of New York, and portrait artist, Craig Carlson. Over the years she has attended workshops too numerous to mention.

As one of the founding members of the Crooked Creek Art League, Faye served as secretary and chaired many committees. She received the Crooked Creek Art League’s Outstanding Member Award in 1999 and the Best of Show Award in 2004. She has received awards for her work in colored pencil, pastel, and oil. Working primarily in oil she creates both still lifes and landscapes.

Faye states: “One of my favorite artists is Richard Schmid, author of “Alla Prima – All I Know About Painting”.
