Willie Clark

I moved to Lexington SC in 1999 to work for Southeastern Freight Lines as a Pricing Analyst. Prior to that I worked for Preston Trucking Company in Maryland for 27 years as a Corporate Pricing Analyst. My education was in business management science and I was awarded the Governor’s Citation from the governor of Maryland for academic achievement and eventually earned a BS degree in Management Science from Wesley College. I retired in 2016 after working 17 years for Southeastern Freight Lines. I took art lessons with my wife, Brenda Clark at the Village Artists gallery in Sand Hill for about 6 months where I discovered to my amazement that I could paint. I enjoy painting dramatic sky and water acrylic landscapes as well as birds. I enjoy painting with my wife as often as I can and also getting to attend open painting when we can with our friends here in the art league.

I won 2nd Place Amateur art for my painting “Mama Red Bird” in the 2021 Crooked Creek Art League Annual Juried Show.

Two artists are featured in this gallery with each display. Each artist has a 8x10 wall to display a dozen or more pieces of wall hanging artwork. The displays rotate every two months. The gallery, which is located in the lobby of The Coffee Shelf at 130 Amicks Ferry Road in Chapin, is open to the public during normal business hours.
