Stop by Crooked Creek Park to view a wonderful display of art by Ruth Collier which is on exhibit in the TAP Gallery Display Cabinet (in the lobby at Crooked Creek Park) for August through October 2025. Ruth is an active member of the art league and regularly volunteers to share her art in our public galleries.
Congratulations, Ruth!

About the Art
Some of Ruth's paintings are acrylic on canvas, while others are fabric. Stop by the Display Case in the lobby of Crooked Creek Park to view the pieces more closely. A tag is provided for each piece and provides the title, medium, and price for the respective piece.
About the Artist
Ruth Collier

I first became interested in painting years ago by watching Bob Ross videos. More recently I saw a simple palm tree painting in Newberry which I attempted to recreate. As a self-taught painter, I use acrylics and mainly do abstracts. I like to try new things that can be quickly painted. I am an active member of the art league and volunteer to hang my paintings in the public galleries.
CCAL Gallery Host:
The Artists Place (TAP) gallery is located in the front lobby of the Crooked Creek Park Recreation Center at 1098 Old Lexington Hwy in Chapin. The gallery hosts a monthly rotation of art from a variety of CCAL artists.
The Display Cabinet can be found in the right side of the gallery as you enter from the front doors. It hosts a rotating multipiece display with a collection of new pieces from a Crooked Creek Art League artist every two months.
