Artist Bio
Susan Dade

Upon graduating from Parsons New York, Susan spent many years as a staff fashion illustrator for Women's Wear Daily and Glamour Magazine in New York City. After her stint in the fashion world, Susan taught at various New York art schools. Spending years in the hectic city, she and her husband moved to South Carolina. Now, instead of painting models Susan paints landscapes, waterfronts, and marshes.
Her fashion background influences her painting palette with bold, loose, splashy color. As a watercolorist, her style is uniquely her own.
Susan's paintings have been acquired by many private and corporate collectors. UNCW, Coldwell Banker, The Brunswick County Courthouse, Dosher Memorial Hospital and The Myrtle Beach Art Museum Collectors 2024 to name a few.
As of now, Susan's happy place is living on Lake Murray, where inspiration
from sparkling water and wildlife is endless...
Susan was an active member of Associated Artists of Southport for 25 yrs.
A Signature member of Watercolor Society of NC
Permanent featured artist at Ricky Evans Gallery, Southport
