Crooked Creek Art League is pleased to welcome Lotus Spa as a new Public Gallery site. A league member will showcase two pieces of art for a two-month period. The featured artist for February and March will be Sonya Diimmler. Sonya is an award-winning artist and an active member of the league. She has served in many positions with the league including president, workshop coordinator, and annual juried show coordinator.

About the Artist
Sonya Diimmler is known for her dramatic use of color in her dreamy contemporary landscapes and bold abstracts. Having started painting in 2015, she wasted no time taking workshops (many with CCAL) and creating increasingly larger bodies of work. Starting 2021 she was featured at Columbia Metropolitan Airport and subsequently, had several shows at Rob Shaw Gallery in West Columbia. In 2024, Sonya was the featured artist for USC’s School of Music’s edgy Southern Exposure concert and a featured artist at MIRCI’s 52 Windows. Her abstract work has most recently been juried into Greenwood as part of the SC Festival of Flowers, 701cca’s 2025 Biennial Show and Pickens County Juried Show. Her work part of the Holiday Show at Rob Shaw gallery this winter. Her work regularly adorns the windows of High Noon in Ballentine.

The Lotus Mind & Body Gallery is located in the Lobby and Nail room of the spa. The art can be viewed during their normal business hours.
The rotating exhibit of fine art showcases a wide variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media and photography. Originals and prints can be discovered here with new displays every month. Each piece of art is labeled with the artist's contact information.
This exhibit features two pieces by a single artist each month.
