About the Artist

Sekelle Nathan

Sekelle Nathan is a Trinidad and Tobago born mixed media artist based in Chapin, South Carolina. Through her practice in moss art, she creates dimensional scenes that draw on nature, memory, and faith. Her work combines preserved moss with materials such as driftwood and river stones, giving familiar landscapes and spiritual imagery a tactile presence. Her approach, “Manifestation over Mastery,” embraces transformation and the expressive possibilities of natural materials. Nathan has received recognition from the South Carolina Palmetto Hands Fine Craft Competition and the Crooked Creek Art League Masters Exhibition and was a featured artist at the 2025 MOJA Arts Festival.
