About the Artist
Cameron Ivie

Since youth Cameron has been drawn to new experiences, engaging in the outdoors, sports, arts, and puzzle solving. Connecting creativity with problem solving led to a career in mechanical engineering. Engaging both the art and science of engineering, he has earned a number of patents while also developing aesthetic designs for products.
In his art, Cameron primarily works in charcoal, attracted to the unique challenges of the ancient black and white medium. Each new texture, color or aesthetic property offers a new problem to solve. The spaces not marked by charcoal are as important as those that are. Many of his works capture the beauty of nature, and many of those are related to his passion for fishing. Recently he has also been producing works of conceptual art.
