About the Artist
Shirley Long

After the loss of a husband and son, Shirley’s artistic talent bloomed. Having been born and residing in beautiful SC, her paintings reflect primarily realistic landscapes. She paints plein air weekly. Her mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil & oil & dry pastels. Her 25-year education has benefited from local SC art instructors, practice, curiosity and experimentation. She hopes the viewer will connect emotionally with her paintings.
