Every month the Chapin Chamber of Commerce recognizes one of Crooked Creek Art League's artists as the Chamber Spotlight Artist of the Month. Congratulations to artist, Brenda Peake. Brenda is an award-winning artist and an active member of the league. She works with social media for the league. See her painting in person at the Chamber if you get a chance!

About the Artist
Brenda Peake
Brenda was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and has been drawing for as long as she can remember. After years of running a family-owned bakery, where sugar was her primary medium, and raising a family, she decided to take up painting. Brenda continues to study primarily by self-taught, taking occasional workshops, and experimenting with color and composition. Painting alla prima (wet into wet) is her favorite way to paint; vibrant color and expressive brushwork are the looks she strives for. She loves to paint almost anything but is mainly inspired by the beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry, which she travels to often for inspiration.
CCAL Gallery Host:
Each month, CCAL shines a spotlight on one of our own. The Chapin Chamber of Commerce graciously features the art of this artist in their lobby in the CCAL Spotlight Artist Gallery.
This exhibit features one piece of wall hanging artwork per month.
The gallery is located in the lobby of the Chapin Chamber of Commerce at 302 Columbia Avenue in Chapin. It hosts a rotating display with a new piece from a Crooked Creek Art League artist featured each month.
