Ruby was born with a natural love of and eye for art and was encouraged by a creative mother. Passionate feelings direct her brush in oil, watercolor and acrylic mediums. After 40 years as an educator, Ruby retired, cleaned out her attic, added a dormer and created an art studio where she has written and illustrated two children's books (Earth Turns on Its Axis, and..., Growing Little Green Thumbs, and two for all ages Appalachian Mornings and Playing in the Dirt). The G.R.O.W! theme of Great Readings Open Worlds echoes through all her books. Ruby's art and books can be found at Palmetto Fine Arts in Chapin where she will be a feature artist in April, May and June. Playing in the Dirt is available at The Coffee Shelf. She is excited to be in Crooked Creek Art League's 28th Annual Show and Sale hanging the whole month of March at Crooked Creek Park.

Email her at rhdeloach@aol.com and stop by The Art Party Press, Studio and Gallery and meet Ruby in person.
