Every month the Chapin Chamber of Commerce recognizes one of Crooked Creek Art League's artists as the Chamber Spotlight Artist of the Month. About the Artwork
As I child, I learned to swim in community pools. It was years before I felt the joy and beauty of the seas and lakes. However, my heart stays connected to the beautiful turquoise of pools which I try to describe in my paintings.

The exhilaration of creating large scale acrylic paintings that are colorful, loose, and lively is simply addictive! I lose myself in the process. The images are rendered in a spontaneous, impressionistic way, often revealing an inherent rhythm. Sources of my inspiration include places I have seen during my travels, experiences I have had, and people I have met. I have a true appreciation for the beauty that can be discovered almost anywhere. My particular interests are color, patterns, and rhythm which can be found in both people and nature. Through "art". . . I am able to express these things. And through “teaching". . . I am able to help students find the creativity within themselves.
CCAL Gallery Host:
Each month, CCAL shines a spotlight on one of our own. The Chapin Chamber of Commerce graciously features the art of this artist in their lobby in the CCAL Spotlight Artist Gallery.
This exhibit features one piece of wall hanging artwork per month.
The gallery is located in the lobby of the Chapin Chamber of Commerce at 302 Columbia Avenue in Chapin. It hosts a rotating display with a new piece from a Crooked Creek Art League artist featured each month.
