Artist Statement
Living on Lake Murray there are so many amazing things to paint. I live near the sailing club and watching the sailboats is so exciting. I captured this on a beautiful morning sail.

Artist Bio
Alex DiFrancesco
A retired school guidance counselor, Alexandra (Alex) DiFrancesco, is a native of West Virginia. She has had the opportunity to live on both the East and West coasts before moving to Chapin, South Carolina 2015.
Alex has enjoyed photography since she was a child playing with her parents Kodak Brownie Camera. She enjoys photographing a variety of subjects including Nature and Architecture.
In 2020 during the Pandemic, Alex found a new passion. She decided to try acrylic painting. Alexandra started with 3x3 canvasses. She created ornaments and now sells a variety of her paintings at galleries and shows. Alexandra is now working on larger paintings. “I love entering shows and exhibits and I consider them all a part of the learning experience.”
Alexandra has participated in the USC School of Visual Art and Design 64th Annual Art Auction in 2019. She has participated in Crooked Creek Art League Juried Shows (2018-2023). Still Hopes Fall Juried Show (2019-2022). In 2019, Alex was juried into the South Carolina State Fair and participated again in 2021 & 2022. She was juried into the 2020 Dogwood Festival and Art Show in Denmark, South Carolina. Alexandra has completed several one person exhibits in various venues, the last in Spring 2022.
Alexandra has been a member of Crooked Creek Art League for 7 years and currently serves on their board as Grant Coordinator. She is also a juried member of the South Carolina Artisans Center in Walterboro, South Carolina. Alexandra was also in a feature article in the January 2023 issue of Chapin Magazine. It exhibited both her photography and paintings.

Blue Lavender Spa is happy to bring the beauty of original art into the spa experience by hosting the art of one of our artists in their lobby each month. We are proud to have Blue Lavender Spa as a business partner and are grateful for their support.
This exhibit features one piece of wall hanging artwork per month.
The gallery is located in the lobby of Blue Lavender Spa and Medical Aesthetics at 1400 Chapin Road in Chapin. It hosts a rotating display with a new piece from a Crooked Creek Art League artist featured each month.
