2022 CCAL End of Year Party, Annual Contest and May Meeting
Our end of year party will be held in conjunction with our May meeting this year, on Monday May 16th.
We will once again be holding this meeting both in person and online via Zoom. Since Covid is not quite fully behind us, here are a few special considerations to help continue to keep everyone safe:
We will be doing potluck for our refreshments. Please let Ruby DeLoach know what you are bringing. Refreshments will begin at 5pm.
To give us a little more space to spread out, we will meet in the FRONT meeting room adjacent to the kitchen (where our awards reception has been held in the past). This is the first room on the left after entering through the lobby.
Masks are requested. Please spread out and observe social distancing.
All artists bringing artwork to participate in the Annual Contest should bring their own easels and have their artwork set up before 5:30pm.
The meeting will begin at at 6pm. The park closes at 8pm so we need to be able to finish and vacate the building in time.
We will open our regular Zoom CCAL meeting space for people to join in online at 5:30pm, if they prefer, so that they can still see the meeting and artwork presentation (see Zoom login information below).
This month, our presentation will be showcasing the entries in our annual contest. This year's theme is "Treasures in My Backyard" (Open to all members, see the prospectus HERE). If you are participating in the contest, please have your paintings and easels there between 5 and 5:30pm. We will have tables available if you want to use a table easel. Floor easels will also work well (please plan to bring one for your painting if you can). All voting for awards will be done by in person voting only. Online participants will be able to see the artwork and awards but not able to vote.
Please plan on attending and casting your vote for the best artwork if you're there in person!
