Ann Sweeney

In 2020, Crooked Creek Art League lost a valued member, a friend, and a beloved mother, Ann Sweeney. Ann was an active member of the League, attending monthly meetings, participating in workshops, and volunteering for special projects. The mural at Crooked Creek Park was designed by her and will be enjoyed for years to come by all who walk the halls. As part of the Sail into Chapin community project, Ann painted one of the sailboats which were auctioned during the 2019 Chapin Labor Day festivities. New artists and workshop participants were often the recipients of Ann’s encouraging words. A member since 2014 she won many awards in the Annual Juried Show including Best in Show in 2019.
