Sandra is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in business education. Her primary medium is watercolor, although she has worked in other mediums.

She has been juried into the SC State Fair Fine Arts Exhibit, Amateur Division, every year since 2011. She has also exhibited paintings in the Crooked Creek Juried Art Exhibition, Union County Arts Council Juried Art Show, Still Hopes Exhibit, Irmo Library Exhibit, and North Charleston Juried Art Show. Her watercolor and collage work, "Orchid," won the Post Card Award in the Crooked Creek Juried Art Exhibition in 2017.

An active member of Crooked Creek Art League since 2014, Sandra has served as president, juried art exhibition co-chair, workshop coordinator, and publicity chair.
