About the event
Workshop Description (from the instructor)
Campbell Frost's first published work of art, a pencil sketch, appeared in the nationally syndicated "Ripley's Believe it or Not" daily newspaper feature in the 1950s, this honor had previously been bestowed upon Peanuts cartoonist Charles M. Schulz.
Â
After serving in the U.S. Army in the 1960s, Campbell attended The University of Tennessee, where he obtained a degree in Fine Art. He subsequently studied advanced art techniques at other Southeastern institutions as well. Since that time, he has taught an estimated twenty to twenty-four thousand students to paint in classroom settings, with class sizes typically limited to 10 students or less. He had to give up judging paintings in regional arts shows because so many of those applying were current or former students.
Â
Campbell's paintings are licensed internationally, and appears on products ranging from calendars to digital jigsaw puzzles, to commercial quilting fabric.…
