DESCRIPTION:
Participants will create 3-4 abstract collage paintings using acrylic and collage materials on canvas panels in this two day workshop. Most materials included.
Basic principles of abstract design, use of color and collage techniques will be explored. Participants are asked to bring a brayer and a roll of good quality paper towels

ARTIST STATEMENT
Lillie is best known for her acrylic, collage and mixed media paintings. She specializes in abstract art, mostly non-representational. Her paintings, whether collage, acrylic or a mixture of mediums reveal a love of texture, color and experimentation. Richly layered and with her own vocabulary of gestural marks and linear elements, Lillie strives to convey the emotional impact of her source of inspiration...be it the landscape, music, poetry or deep personal experiences.
