Membership Renewal for Next Year Now Open

Membership renewals are now open for the 2024-25 season. Per the constitution, membership dues should be submitted by September 1. As always, renewals received at any time after the March meeting will count through the August 31 the following year (e.g., renewals received now count through August 2025). Per the President's letter of March 15, renewals received after Sept 1 will be considered late and will now be subject to a $10 late fee.

Dear CCAL Members,

After doing research into the membership rates of other art leagues and after much consideration, the CCAL board has decided to increase the General Membership league dues to $35 per year beginning with the 2024-2025 year. The $10 increase comes after having no dues increase for many years despite continually expanding services to our members. This will help us continue to provide our league members with all that we offer, and even with the dues increase, CCAL dues remain below the norm. All other dues rates (e.g. Patron level dues) will remain unchanged.

Also, the board has decided to grant free lifetime membership to those current or future members who have been members of CCAL for 25 or more years.

Also new, beginning with the 2024-2025 league year, dues must be paid by September 30 to avoid a $10 late fee. Per our constitution, the dues cycle runs September 1–August 31 each year, and we have seen an increase in members renewing well after the September 1 renewal date. To address this concern, dues paid after September 30 will be considered late and incur the above fee to retain continuous membership. As always, dues still unpaid by December 31 will result in lapsed membership and removal from the membership roster. Lapsed members may reapply for a new membership at any time.
