I enjoy painting lake birds and herons, egrets and ducks are my favorite subject.

The Title of this piece is "High Tide"

Artist Bio:

As the retired postmaster of USPS in Prosperity, S. C., Joyce now has the time to pursue her passion for painting. She paints mainly in oil, but also uses acrylics and watercolors when needed. She has been commissioned to paint portraits, murals, and landscapes. She enjoys painting Lake Murray water birds (ducks, Canadian geese, egrets, and blue herons). She has entered and sold paintings in the S.C. State Fair Art Exhibit. As a member of Chapin Crooked

Creek Art League, she was an award winner several years in their Annual Art Exhibits & Juried Shows. She has painted murals in homes and in her church. She paints on commission for portraits of children, pets, bridal couples, and portraits from photos of old homes and family members. Her work is hanging locally in Newberry, Prosperity, Chapin, and Little Mountain galleries.
