Our Vice President, Alison Klein, has scheduled an interesting speaker for our November Meeting. John Temple Ligon is an art historian, urban planner and self-described “delightful dilettante.” He will be discussing the life and work of Jasper Johns as well as “The Bridge” - a concept for Columbia that he promoted several decades ago that has recently received renewed interest.

-Bus system specialist: Chernoff/Silver, Orlando; won competition for Chatham Area Transit bus system PR and advertising contract, Savannah

-One of three founding principals of Affinity Technology Group while enrolled in business school, Duke University; business plan editor; market capitalization value of $600,000,000; filed suit to collect contracted 1%, $6,000,000; federal grand jury convened on jury tampering in first trial; still collecting $2 million from second trial

-Business editor, Columbia Star newspaper, 2003-2012; named best business writer in state's weeklies by S. C. Press Association

The theme this time around is "Christmas Card/Holiday or Winter Scenes". The theme was chosen by Tommy Thompson. Bring your artwork and hang it the night of the meeting to be eligible to be our next Monthly Best In Show winner!

Since we won't have a meeting at the park in December, artwork will remain on display until our January meeting.
