"Autumn Comes to the Woods" by Ann Peake

Ah, Fall. After a summer hiatus, it always seems a bit jarring just how MANY things happen in the arts world in the fall.  Here's a short list to get you primed for the upcoming season.

CCAL Early Fall Happenings:

First Annual Fall Exhibition - The deadline for this one is this Friday, Aug 31 so don't delay. Get your entry in before it's too late!

Booth at the Labor Day #ChapinFarmersMarket - CCAL will host a booth at the Farmers Market which will be held at the Fieldhouse at Chapin High School Saturday Sept 1. We'll be there from 8am until 1pm. Come on by!

September Membership Meeting - Our first meeting of the year will be Monday Sept 17. We have a great presenter, Sheryl Stalnaker, and great refreshments provided by the Board. Hope to see you there!

Other Fall Art Happenings:

Remember, you can also see other upcoming events on the Call For Artists page on the website. Here are a few notable options:

#SCStateFair - The deadline for entry into this year's show is also this week on Sept 1. Our members normally are well represented with wonderful pieces of art. Don't miss it!

#SCStateMuseum - They will be holding a Juried show for their 30th anniversary. The entry deadline is Sept 7.

If nothing else, I hope you get to spend some great time outdoors making artwork or taking reference photos or just refreshing your spirit.
