November 2017 Presenter: Robert "Bob" Woodwyk, CPA

Local CPA, Robert J. Woodwyk, will be discussing tax issues for artists. He will answer our question and give guidance on how and when it is appropriate to incorporate as well as other tax and business issues that relate to the aspiring or established professional artist. Thinking about the business side of things can be a challenge for artists. Here's a chance to learn about what you don't know, but should! I'm sure we'll all learn a lot from this session. Robert J. Woodwyk is a CPA who graduated from Ferris State University. He did graduate work at Western Michigan University. He was born and raised in Michigan and moved to South Carolina in 1982. He has extensive experience in small business and personal tax and finance matters. Bob opened his own firm in 1993 after working in public accounting and corporate accounting for many years. The firm, Robert J. Woodwyk, CPA LLC has grown every year since and now serves clients in South Carolina, over 20 additional states plus overseas clients. He and his wife Ila work together. They have been married for 49 years and have one son and two grandchildren.
