Spotlight Artist December 2018: Julie Larkin

Congratulations to our Spotlight Artist of the Month for December. This months artist, Julie Larkin, is a new member of the Crooked Creek Art League. She is a self-taught artist who draws on a lifetime of world travel for inspiration. We had a great crowd, amazing food and a wonderful Christmas Party enjoyed by all at our December meeting on Monday, December 18, 2018. A great big THANK YOU to Ron and Carol Weathers for maintaining our 'tradition' of holding this fun annual event at their beautiful home for us again this year!! They are so generous to welcome us all into their home to celebrate the season and we owe them our gratitude. A great big thank you as well to everyone that helped in planning and running the evening: Sonya, Ginger, Karen, Roger, Brian and Kay. We have a new winner in our December TAP Gallery display! The Blue Ribbon Winner in The Artist's Place Gallery competition for October is Al Leitch with his lovely piece, "Little Brown Church in the Vale". CCAL is happy to share that Barbara Teusink has a multi-piece display of her beautiful artwork in the Chapin Library Artist Gallery. The gallery is located in the Chapin Branch of the Lexington County Library and hosts the artwork of one of Crooked Creek Art League's fine artists each month.
