5th Annual Chapin Fall Arts Festival

Updated: Apr 19, 2022

Thanks to the outstanding organization of this year's chair person, Sandra Oliver, Crooked Creek Art League was well-represented at the Chapin Art Festival on Saturday, October 9.

Friday, on the other hand, had its downs and ups. The CCAL group had a big decision to make. There was no alternate or time for the festival. At 2:00pm on Friday the weather forecast for Saturday was rain. By 4:00pm the forecast had improved somewhat. Finally at 7:00pm the message was sent to all our CCAL participants – “It’s a go!”

In addition to the CCAL booth, other three other CCAL members had booths at the festival:

Jim and Alex DiFrancesco in their booth
CJ Marchese in her booth
TC Bowers in his booth

As the grey skies Saturday morning turned to blue skies about noon, the number of Festival visitors increased.

Thanks to the CCAL members who displayed their art, to the league members who stopped by the booth to show their support, and to Kay Fox for photographing the event.

Thanks also to Jerry Caldwell and T.C. Bowers, Chapin Art Festival coordinators, for their planning and assistance in making the day a success and especially for recognizing the artists and artisans in the Town of Chapin.
