Marcia Murray
Marcia grew up in Charleston, S. C. and moved to Columbia where she retired in 1991 after a 32 year career with Bell South. It was only then she was able to pursue her love of art full time. She paints exclusively in watercolor and her paintings are driven by curiosity and a desire to create and communicate.
She served as President of Crooked Creek Art League and belongs to SC Watermedia Society and About Face, a group that meets weekly at the Columbia Museum of Art for life-drawing sessions.. Marcia has exhibited in numerous juried exhibitions and won many awards including two in the South Carolina Watermedia Society Exhibits. Her artwork has been published in Lake Murray Magazine and in S.C. Homes and Gardens. Recently she was the recipient of the SC Festival of Flowers Floral Purchase award .
