Marcia Murray
Marcia began life in the low country of SC and grew up in Charleston. After her retirement in 1991, she was able to pursue her love of art. Watercolor is her medium of choice and while the medium requires that she plan paintings carefully, she paints intuitively. Marcia has studied with many nationally known artists and has developed her own recognizable style. Marcia served as President of Crooked Creek Art League and is currently on the board. She was instrumental in developing the Artist Support Group which meets each Wednesday in Chapin and belongs to About Face, a group that meets weekly at the museum for life drawing sessions. Marcia has exhibited in many juried exhibitions and is an award-winning artist. Her work is currently exhibited at Nonnah’s on Gervais. Giclee prints of selected pieces are available.
