Paula Grookett

I love to paint!  I retired from public education in 1997, and with no artistic background, immediately began to seek opportunities to learn about drawing and watercolor painting.  Watercolor fascinates me. There is something about the transparency of the colors and the flow on the paper that makes me happy.  My style is realistic; I paint what I see.  I love to paint flowers but other subjects entice me as well. My current interest is figures and my primitive attempts are below.    I continue to learn about the medium by taking classes whenever I can.  I am a member of the Log Cabin Art Guild, Trenholm Artists Guild and the Crooked Creek Art League.
